Kerrville cats can get the purr-fect fix for free!

Community cats will receive free spay/neuter services and vaccines during a special Kerr County clinic.

KERRVILLE, Texas — Calling all community cats — and the humans who feed them.

Kerrville Pets Alive! is hosting a free Community Cat Spay/Neuter & Vaccine Clinic on June 2, giving Kerr County residents a chance to help local felines stay healthy while preventing future kitten explosions.

The clinic is specifically designed for outdoor, unsocialized cats — the whiskered workforce that patrols barns, properties and neighborhoods keeping rodents on the run.

“Fixing and vaccinating community cats supports a healthy, safe and manageable community cat population,” said Executive Director Karen Guerriero.

Pre-registration is required and will take place May 31 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 2102 Memorial Boulevard in Kerrville. The clinic itself will be held June 2 at the Happy State Bank Expo Hall.

Residents must provide proof of Kerr County residency to register. There’s also no limit to the number of cats that can be signed up, so cat caretakers can bring the whole meow crew.

Need help catching those elusive felines? Kerrville Pets Alive! will rent traps for a refundable deposit to help make the process a little less cat-and-mouse.
