SAN ANTONIO — The Magik Theatre’s summer camp kids will be among the first to see the theater’s new renovations.
The theater closed it’s doors earlier this year to undergo extensive changes and renovations to the space. The upgraded space includes enhanced building accessibility and safety, softer theatre seats and, a brand-new HVAC to keep campers cool and comfortable throughout the San Antonio summer.
The day camps provide theater training and performance opportunities to kids as young as three years old and all the way through 12th grade. The camps help build confidence and creativity, whether or not the kids want to pursue theater later on. The sessions often include tie-in with popular shows and books, as well as classic tales of pirates and fairies. This year’s session will include selections from Bluey, Paw Patrol, K-pop Demon Hunters, Wicked, Legos and Pokemon.
Each session is two weeks and there are four sessions total running from early June to the end of July.
