Investigators say the suspect demanded another drink after staff refused service.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for a man accused of displaying a handgun after being denied another drink at a business on the east side of San Antonio.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 9:28 a.m. Saturday to the 5500 block of Interstate 10 East for a robbery in progress.

Employees told officers the suspect had been drinking at the location and was refused another drink because he appeared highly intoxicated.

Police say after being denied service, the 43-year-old man allegedly pulled out a handgun and demanded another drink.

An employee left the bar area and called police.

Authorities say the suspect fled before officers arrived.

No injuries were reported, and no arrests had been made as of the latest update.
