Man critically injured after argument ends in shooting on south side

Police say the gunman fled the scene after the victim was shot in the head.

SAN ANTONIO — A late-night argument on San Antonio’s south side turned violent Sunday after one man allegedly shot another in the street, according to police.

The San Antonio Police Department says officers were called around 10:31 p.m. to the 200 block of Grosvenor Boulevard for a shooting.

Investigators say two men were arguing in the roadway when one of them pulled out a gun and opened fire.

Police arrived to find the victim lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

The man was rushed to Brooke Army Medical Center in critical condition.

Authorities say the suspect fled the area in a vehicle before officers arrived.

Detectives are continuing to investigate.

San Antonio Fire Department and EMS also responded to the scene.
