SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police say they’re investigating after a man was found stabbed in the chest steps away from Central Library downtown on Memorial Day morning.
Law enforcement responded to the area of Augusta and Navarro streets at about 11:24 a.m. A KENS 5 crew observed a heavy police presence on scene as authorities secured the area.
An SAPD officer on the scene said a passerby found victim, who hasn’t been identified, and called police. At this point, authorities said they hadn’t found anyone who saw the man as he was being stabbed.
It’s also unknown at this point how many other people may have been involved, but the officer said he was told the man was unresponsive as he was being taken away in an ambulance.
This is a developing story.
