Firefighters say everyone made it out safely as flames spread into the attic and part of the roof collapsed.
SAN ANTONIO — A duplex on San Antonio’s south side suffered severe damage after a late-night fire Tuesday.
According to the San Antonio Fire Department, crews were called around 9:22 p.m. to the 100 block of East Theo Avenue.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames coming from the duplex.
Officials say the layout of the building made the fire more difficult to fight. Crews say flames spread into the attic, and part of the roof later collapsed.
Everyone inside got out safely, and no injuries were reported.
Fire officials noted there was also a fire at the same property within the last year.
San Antonio Fire Department Arson Unit responded to help determine what caused the blaze.
San Antonio Police Department also assisted at the scene.
