BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — IMPACT DAYS: Sunday night to Monday morning (May 10-11)
Reason: Heavy rain, strong-to-severe thunderstorms
The breakdown
San Antonio avoided a severe weather threat Friday evening, but there remains a chance of showers and an isolated thunderstorm through Saturday.
However, our two most-trusted models are in agreement of showing very little in the way of severe weather developing. There will be isolated showers across the area, but not very much around San Antonio.
The best coverage looks to be south of the city through Saturday.
On Sunday night, however, things change. A cold front is expected to deliver a line of strong-to-severe storms.
The window of chance opens by 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, with chances running 40% to 50% through about 2 a.m. Monday.
