SAN ANTONIO — A man was arrested Saturday after an armed robbery at a home on the southwest side of San Antonio, according to police.
The San Antonio Police Department says officers were called around 4:59 p.m. to the 100 block of Chesley Drive for a robbery in progress.
Investigators say a 59-year-old woman was inside the residence when a man entered through the rear door and demanded money and gold.
Police say the suspect repeatedly displayed a handgun during the robbery before taking the victim’s property and fleeing.
Officers were given a description of the man over the radio and located him a short distance away.
Authorities say the 45-year-old suspect was taken into custody without incident and booked on an aggravated robbery charge.
No injuries were reported.
The investigation remains ongoing.
