Authorities also released surveillance video of a white Ford Escape they believe the other suspect was driving.
SAN ANTONIO — Authorities say they’re investigating after occupants of two cars shot at each other in west Bexar County, prompting a brief lockdown at nearby Brennan High School.
Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Victorian Oaks just after noon. According to a tweet from BCSO, people in two vehicles in the area were shooting at each other.
There is no word yet on whether anyone was shot or injured. Video from the scene shows multiple ambulances have responded.
Northside ISD officials say Brennan High was briefly placed on lockdown, and Bexar County deputies established a command center there. Deputies detained a person of interest at a nearby home, but no charges have been announced.
An all-clear at the school was given just before 2 p.m., and staff and students were returning to a normal schedule.
BCSO said that deputies arrested a 17-year-old suspect just before 6 p.m. at his residence in the 13900 block of Laurel Branch. They identified the suspect as Kaleb Allen Rackley, and booked him on two counts of deadly conduct.
“The shooting that involved Rackley and an additional unknown male suspect, resulted in both suspects shooting at each other,” BCSO said. “Calls from nearby residents reporting the shooting were received, along with a call from within Brennan High School reporting an active shooter incident.”
Authorities are looking for information on the other suspect, and said surveillance footage showed that suspect in a white Ford Escape.
