Woman arrested on suspicion of DWI after motorcycle crash near downtown, police say

Officers say the rider lost control in a parking lot and crashed near an 18-wheeler early Tuesday morning.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman is facing a DWI charge after a motorcycle crash just southeast of downtown San Antonio early Tuesday morning.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 12:25 a.m. to the 400 block of Fair Avenue near I-37.

Police say a woman in her 20s pulled into an Exxon parking lot when she hit a slick spot and lost control of her motorcycle, crashing near an 18-wheeler.

She was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities say she was later arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

SAPD, the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS all responded to the scene.
