SAN ANTONIO — A man was injured after gunfire pierced through a home on San Antonio’s northeast side early Tuesday morning.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 3:01 a.m. to the 100 block of Serna Park near Walzem Road for a reported shooting.
Police say a man in his 50s was lying down inside a back house when several shots were fired from outside, striking the side of the home. Bullets went through the wall, hitting the man in both legs.
He was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center in stable condition.
Investigators say the man’s girlfriend had knocked on the front door shortly before the shooting and left the area moments before shots were fired.
Surveillance footage from across the street reportedly shows a white truck fleeing the scene.
Authorities say detectives are continuing to investigate.
