SAN ANTONIO — San Antonians can earn a limited-edition Spurs playoff cap this week thanks to South Texas Blood & Tissue.
Residents wishing to donate blood can stop by Rolling Oaks Mall on Tuesday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and receive a Spurs playoff Fiesta cap as a thank you gift – perfect as the Silver & Black dive into playoff season.
Appointments are available by visiting SouthTexasBlood.org or by calling 833-YOU-GIVE (833-968-4483).
Organizers said all blood types are critical but type-O blood donors, whom make up 40% of the population, are vitally important to serving the San Antonio community. Data also shows that half of all Hispanics have O-positive blood, making donations from this group significant.
