11 suspects arrested, 6 wanted in connection with ‘street takeover’ incidents in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Police Department on Thursday announced the arrests of 11 suspects in connection with “street takeover” incidents that occurred in the Capitol city in February.

Police officials said they are still looking for six more suspects.

The arrested suspects were located in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and Austin, a news release said.

More than 30 arrest warrants were issued following an investigation called Operation Burnout by various police agencies, including the San Antonio Police Department, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the Live Oak Police Department, the Selma Police Department, the New Braunfels Police Department, and the Hays County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Following is a list of suspects arrested:

  • Alejandro Acosta-Amaya, 17, evading in a motor vehicle
  • Jerry Antonio Gore Jr, 22, obstruction of a highway, evading in a motor vehicle, theft of a firearm, unlawful possession, engaging in organized crime
  • Corey Latavyan Hicks, 23, obstruction of a highway, engaging in organized crime, deadly conduct
  • Keegan Alec Lopez-Stiba, 22, obstruction of a highway
  • Duwan Tay Mabin, 24, obstruction of a highway, deadly conduct, unauthorized use of motor vehicle
  • Kevonte McConnell Hawkins, 30, obstructing a highway, engaging in organized crime, deadly conduct, reckless driving
  • Corry Jerome Murray Jr, 19, obstruction of a highway
  • Julien Arnes Putmon, 21, obstruction of a highway, engaging in organized crime, deadly conduct, reckless driving
  • Genesis Brenda Ramirez, 25, obstruction of a highway, engaging in organized crime, deadly conduct,
  • Keshun Jamal Semere, 21, obstruction of a highway,
  • Juvenile suspect, unlawful use of fireworks

Law enforcement authorities are still looking for the following suspects:

  • Jose Leonidas Carcamos, 23, obstruction of a highway
  • Cristian Hernandez, 20, obstruction of a highway, engaging in organized crime, deadly conduct
  • Edward Pittman Jr., 23, obstruction of a highway
  • Ryan Ray Lacour, 28, obstruction of a highway, engaging in organized crime, deadly conduct
  • Corey Austin Lamb, 32, obstruction of a highway
  • Juvenile suspect, obstruction of a highway

APD’s Organized Crime Division is still working to identify additional suspects and vehicles and will seek arrest warrants as more evidence becomes available.
