Firefighters say the blaze was contained to the garage and no injuries were reported.
SAN ANTONIO — A fast-moving fire on San Antonio’s northwest side caused heavy damage to a garage but left the homeowner unharmed.
According to the San Antonio Fire Department, crews were called around 2:12 a.m. Monday to the 8600 block of Wood Wind near Culebra Road.
Firefighters arrived to find the garage fully engulfed in flames.
Crews quickly knocked down the fire and were able to keep it from spreading into the rest of the home.
Officials say an elderly woman who lives at the home was able to get out safely.
The garage sustained severe damage.
Authorities say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
San Antonio Police Department and EMS also responded to the scene.
