Man shot under west-side bridge near JBSA Lackland, police say

Police are investigating a shooting on the West Side after a man was found with a bullet graze. The victim is providing little information, complicating the probe.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating after a man was found shot under a bridge on the west side of the San Antonio.

The incident happened just after midnight early Friday morning at Highway 90 access road and Colt Avenue. The man told police he was shot while walking under the bridge. 

Police say a woman spotted the man near the VIA transit center that’s also near JBSA Lackland. The woman told first responders the man was bleeding from the head and was walking toward a hotel on the other side of the highway. 

Police say the man was grazed by bullet. He was taken to the hospital but is expected to be ok.  

No one has yet been arrested in this crime. Police are still investigating.
