Massive gator being relocated after capture in Fort Bend County neighborhood

We first showed you video of the gator over the weekend.

RICHMOND, Texas — Over the weekend, we showed you video of a massive gator strolling through a Fort Bend County neighborhood. The gator was taking a walk through the Benbrook community. That roaming reptile has apparently been apprehended.

On Wednesday, the Fort Bend County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office posted a photo showing the capture of a big gator. In the post, the constable’s office said that the 11-foot gator was being relocated to its natural habitat.

If it seems like we’re posting more and more gator stories, it’s because we are. We’re still in gator nesting and mating season, which runs through the end of May. And the gators are definitely out and about, especially in Fort Bend County, it seems.

Just last week, we posted about a gator in Sienna that stopped by an elementary school.

Before that, there was a monster gator on a golf course in Sienna.
