North East ISD’s Summer Feast returns June 10 with free meals for kids, food giveaways, health resources and family-friendly activities.
SAN ANTONIO — North East ISD is inviting families to kick off summer with a free lunch, community resources and plenty of activities at its third annual Summer Feast.
The event will take place June 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Ed White Middle School and serves as the official launch of the district’s free summer meal program.
Children 18 and younger can receive a free lunch on site while families explore a resource fair featuring more than 35 district departments, local businesses and community organizations.
The event will also include free food bundle distribution from the San Antonio Food Bank while supplies last.
Families can enjoy children’s fitness activities led by NEISD’s physical education department, hands-on activities, music from a live DJ and opportunities to connect with summer programs and services available throughout the community.
A mobile immunization clinic from CHRISTUS Health will also be on site to help families prepare for the upcoming school year.
District leaders say the annual event is designed to ensure students stay nourished, active and connected during the summer months while giving parents access to valuable resources in one convenient location.
The event is free and open to the community.
