Operation Buzzkill targets illegal THC sales near schools in Atascosa County

Deputies say arrests were made after a month-long undercover investigation into sales to minors.

ATASCOSA COUNTY, Texas — A month-long investigation into illegal THC sales has led to arrests and cash seizures across Atascosa County.

According to the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed search warrants Monday at three businesses as part of “Operation Buzzkill.”

The investigation began after complaints from residents and local school districts about minors obtaining illegal THC products.

Authorities say warrants were served at locations in Pleasanton, Jourdanton and Lytle, including a store located directly across from a high school.

Investigators say evidence shows illegal THC products were being sold to both adults and minors.

Officials say more than $29,000 in cash was seized and is subject to forfeiture under Texas law.

Two people, Linda Jackson and Sandhu Gurinderjit, were arrested and charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony.

Authorities say additional arrests are pending.

Sheriff’s officials say the operation focused on protecting minors and responding to community concerns.
