Celebrate Fiesta at San Antonio Zoo’s Locals Day with discounted admission and a Festival de Animales, showcasing animal habitats and interactive exhibits.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio families looking to celebrate Fiesta can head to the San Antonio Zoo on Friday, April 24, for discounted admission during its latest Locals Day event.
According to the San Antonio Zoo, Bexar County residents can purchase $8 tickets on April 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the zoo. The special promotion is part of the zoo’s ongoing Locals Day series, which celebrates different San Antonio City Council districts and Bexar County precincts throughout the year.
Zoo officials say Locals Day offers residents a chance to explore animal habitats, learn about conservation efforts and enjoy family-friendly activities at one of the city’s most popular attractions. Friday’s celebration is specifically to celebrate Fiesta Friday. For those unable to visit Friday, the celebration continues all weekend long (April 25–26) with Locals Day pricing, as well as Festival de Animales, a two-day Fiesta celebration
Visitors can a check out “Pollinators,” a limited-time interactive attraction located in the zoo’s Go Wild area. The exhibit features 12 oversized, climbable sculptures representing species such as bees, butterflies, bats, hummingbirds and the chocolate midge. The experience runs through April 26 and is included with admission, according to zoo officials.
The zoo notes that $8 Locals Day tickets are available only on select dates and must be purchased by Bexar County residents with valid proof of residency. More information about Locals Day and ticket purchases is available at the website here.
