SAN ANTONIO — You might need a poncho if you plan to celebrate the return of San Antonio’s “party with a purpose” this weekend.
While Thursday and Friday are bringing partly cloudy skies and warm afternoons to San Antonio, there’s a solid chance of rain and possible storms over the first weekend of Fiesta—when fan-favorite events like Oyster Bake, Fiesta Fiesta and Taste of New Orleans are getting underway.
As of Thursday afternoon, chances for weekend rain in the Alamo City stand at 50%. The cold front will also usher in more refreshing temperatures; after an anticipated Friday afternoon high of around 91 degrees, the mercury won’t escape the 70s this weekend.
Monday will be even cooler, with afternoon highs in the mid-60s before they start to rise once again.
Here’s where rain chances stand for the next several days in San Antonio:
- Friday, April 17: 5%
- Saturday, April 18: 60%
- Sunday, April 19: 60%
- Monday, April 20: 55%
- Tuesday, April 21: 35%
- Wednesday, April 22: 15%
- Thursday, April 23: 10%
