Man hospitalized after stabbing on South Zarzamora

A man was hospitalized after being stabbed during an altercation on South Zarzamora early Sunday. Police say the suspect fled the scene.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was hospitalized after a stabbing during an altercation on the southwest side of San Antonio early Sunday morning, according to police.

The San Antonio Police Department says officers were dispatched around 2:30 a.m. to the 3800 block of South Zarzamora Street for a reported cutting.

Investigators say a 33-year-old man got into an argument with a 40-year-old man he knew when the confrontation turned violent.

Police say the suspect stabbed the victim in the upper body before fleeing the scene prior to officers arriving.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released an update on his condition.

No arrests have been made, and the suspect remains outstanding.

The investigation is ongoing.
