Authorities say Garza challenged the police officers to a fight and subsequently lost.
SAN ANTONIO — A man is accused of assaulting an elderly man at Canyon Park Thursday afternoon, according to the Poteet Police Department.
Poteet PD posted on Facebook that Roger Garza was apprehended after assaulting an older man – striking the victim repeatedly.
Authorities said upon arrival, officers tended to the elderly man and were able to quickly locate Garza at his residence. Garza then challenged the officers to a fight and lost.
According to Poteet PD, Garza was swiftly taken to the ground where he was handcuffed.
Garza was booked in the Atascosa County jail.
